Flow, the other network, sells prepaid plans too, but its current Grenada price sheet loads only inside its app and web portal, and we could not verify it line by line, so this guide is built mainly around Digicel.
The counter is also unusually close to where visitors land and stay. Digicel's Spiceland Mall store in Morne Rouge is about ten minutes from Maurice Bishop International and a short walk from the Grand Anse hotel strip. The EC$15 New Customer SIM
Most Caribbean operators charge for the card and then sell you a bundle on top. Digicel Grenada currently folds the two together. Its prepaid page lists the New Customer SIM, flagged as the best value item on the page, at EC$15 including tax, with 15 GB of data and a validity of 120 days, and describes it as a welcome offer that includes unlimited Digicel calls on the day.

For a typical holiday of one or two weeks, that card alone covers the whole trip for most people. Fifteen gigabytes is enough for daily maps, messaging, a video call home each evening and a steady stream of photos from Grand Anse, the Carenage and the sculpture park. The four-month validity also means a returning visitor, or somebody on a long sailing season based at Prickly Bay or Port Louis, gets real use out of a single purchase.
Confirm the offer applies to you
The listing is aimed at new customers, and Digicel does not spell out on the page whether a visitor registering with a foreign passport qualifies on identical terms. We expect it does, since the offer is tied to a new SIM rather than to residency, but ask at the counter before you pay, and ask to see the 15 GB confirmation message before you walk out.
Because the SIM is physical, your phone needs a free SIM tray and must be unlocked. Several recent iPhone models sold in the United States have no tray at all, and for those an international eSIM is the only practical route.
Digicel Prime Ultra Plans, Priced in EC Dollars
Once the starter data runs out, or if you want calling minutes for a longer stay, Digicel sells five Prime Ultra plans. Every one includes unlimited local calls, unlimited social messaging and WhatsApp, and unlimited local texts on top of the any-use data. The curve here is unusually gentle. The 3 Day plan works out at 63 US cents a gigabyte and the 7 Day at 65 cents, and even the 30 Day plan stays below a dollar a gigabyte. The weak rung is the 14 Day plan, which adds only 6 GB over the weekly plan for EC$25 more; two 7 Day plans back to back cost EC$70 and deliver 40 GB. The 30 Day plan also shows an auto-renewal price of EC$108, a detail aimed at residents rather than visitors.
The minutes are the hidden bonus
The 80 minutes to the United States and Canada on the 7 Day plan cover the calls a travel eSIM cannot make at all: a bank fraud line, an airline rebooking queue, or a relative who does not use WhatsApp. None of the three travel eSIMs sold for Grenada includes a phone number.
Flow in Grenada: What We Could and Could Not Confirm
Flow is the old Cable and Wireless business, once branded LIME, and it runs Grenada's second mobile network alongside its broadband and cable TV service. It is also the network under two of the three travel eSIMs, Nomad and Holafly, so its coverage is the one many eSIM users are actually relying on.
Its prepaid prices are harder to pin down. Flow's Grenada prepaid page renders its plans with JavaScript, and its search listing summarises the range as prepaid plans from EC$6 for one day to EC$27 for seven days. A widely used prepaid SIM reference describes a Flow SIM sold for EC$10 in Flow stores with a three day plan attached, carrying 1 GB of data plus local minutes and texts, and a recharge marketplace lists smaller standalone Flow data add-ons at prices well above Digicel's. We could not open a current, itemised Flow sheet to check any of those figures, so treat them as indicative rather than quotable.

Digicel's Four Stores, Island by Island
Digicel's own store locator lists four branded outlets in Grenada, three on the main island and one on Carriacou. None of them opens on Sunday, and Saturday hours are short everywhere. Top-up credit is sold far more widely, in supermarkets, rum shops and pharmacies, but a new SIM needs a proper store and a passport.

Pick the store that matches your base
Staying on Grand Anse, at Morne Rouge or near the airport, use Spiceland Mall. Arriving by cruise ship, the Melville Street branch is a short walk from the cruise terminal along the waterfront. The Grenville store serves east coast stays near Belmont or Pearls.
Bring the passport itself
Prepaid lines are registered at the counter against a government ID, which for a visitor means the passport. A photocopy or phone photo may not be accepted.
Ask for the offer by name
Say New Customer SIM, or name the Prime Ultra plan you want, rather than asking for credit. Loose airtime without a plan is charged at out-of-bundle rates that make a gigabyte costly.

On money alone the local card wins every row, by a factor of five to ten. So the case for an eSIM in Grenada rests entirely on timing and hardware. Land at Maurice Bishop on a Saturday after 3pm, or at any time on a Sunday, and every Digicel store in the country is shut until Monday morning. Board the early Osprey ferry to Carriacou and you are on the water before the Hillsborough store opens. Carry an eSIM-only phone and a plastic card is not an option at all. In those cases the 8 dollar Airalo 1 GB plan, or Nomad's 5 GB plan, is money well spent.
Everyone else with an unlocked phone and a weekday arrival should simply ask the taxi driver to pull into Spiceland Mall. Ten minutes and EC$15 covers the trip.
Carriacou, the Grenadines and Roaming on a Digicel Line
A Grenadian Digicel SIM works on Carriacou and Petite Martinique with no change, because they are part of the same country and Digicel has rebuilt its network there since Hurricane Beryl. The Hillsborough store can also sell or top up a card if you arrive by ferry or on the short SVG Air hop to Lauriston airport.
Crossing into St Vincent and the Grenadines is different. Union Island, the usual clearance port for yachts heading north from Carriacou, is another country, and so are Petit St Vincent, Mayreau and the Tobago Cays. A Grenadian line needs a roaming plan there, and Digicel sells three Roam Easy Caribbean plans for exactly this, activated by dialling *153# or in the app.

Watch the network name near Petite Martinique
Petite Martinique lies about a kilometre from Petit St Vincent, and phones there can register on a Vincentian mast without warning. If your screen shows an SVG network name, switch network selection to manual and choose the Grenadian Digicel network, or roaming charges can start without you ever leaving Grenadian water.

Landing on a Saturday afternoon or a Sunday, the store is closed for a large part of a short stay, and an eSIM installed before the flight is the better use of your time.
