Founder & Lead Researcher, Travel SIM Finder

Seth is a professional traveler and the founder of Travel SIM Finder. He personally buys, installs, and tests every travel eSIM and SIM card reviewed on this site, and has firsthand experience traveling in many of the destinations covered.

Background

Seth has spent years traveling internationally as a full-time profession, navigating mobile connectivity in dozens of countries, often the hard way, before travel eSIMs existed. That experience is the reason this site exists: most travelers waste money on the wrong plan or get burned at airport SIM kiosks because there's no honest, hands-on comparison resource that actually tests what it recommends.

How Seth Tests eSIMs

Every provider featured on Travel SIM Finder is tested firsthand. That means buying a real plan with Seth's own money (no provider freebies, no review units), installing it on a real device, and using it as a primary connection in the destination, checking real coverage in the city center, on transit, in the airport, and in outlying areas where networks typically degrade.

Coverage observations, speed checks, and pricing on every guide reflect real-world testing or, where Seth has not yet visited a destination personally, careful research from primary sources clearly distinguished from firsthand reporting. We never claim to have tested something we haven't.

What Seth Writes About

  • Travel eSIM provider comparisons (Airalo, Holafly, Nomad, Ubigi)
  • Country-specific eSIM and SIM card guides
  • Airport SIM kiosk reviews and arrival-day connectivity tips
  • City-level coverage notes (metro, neighborhoods, public WiFi gaps)
  • Honest explanations of when an eSIM is the wrong choice

Editorial Approach

Seth writes every guide on this site personally. There are no contracted writers, no AI-generated copy, no scraped review aggregators behind the scenes. When a provider is bad value or wrong for a particular destination, the guide says so, including providers Travel SIM Finder has affiliate relationships with. Recommendations exist to be useful to travelers, not to maximize commissions.

For the full process, including how prices are sourced, how often pages are refreshed, and what gets tested versus researched, see the methodology page.
